ABOUT US
Together with our team, we - Andries, Merahl and Jamahl - are responsible for the ins and outs of our Hostel Het Archief. Hospitality is our middle name. We have been active since 2003 in receiving, pampering and inspiring our guests from home and abroad. In 2003 we started our B&B 'de Ridder van Zuthem'. This B&B was situated in an old historic monumental building in the old town of Zwolle. At the end of 2016 we stopped with this B&B and we started with great pleasure with a small hotel called 'De Pelsertoren'. This hotel is housed in a renovated medieval defensive tower (ca. 1475–1500) located on the canal in the centre of Zwolle.
In 2019, the Municipality of Zwolle came up with the question 'Zwolle is looking for partner(s) for the interpretation of the historic Statenzaal (former provincial government building of Overijssel from 1898)'. We were asked to create accommodation in this national monument. This eventually led to a new Hotel (Hotel Staatsman) and a new Hostel (Het Archief) in the historic city center of Zwolle.
