Our Hostel is called ‘Het Archief’ (the Archive). We chose this name because the building in which the Hostel is located was built in the thirties of the last century as an archive room for the former Provincial House of Overijssel. The building has recently been given the status of 'Municipal Monument'. As early as 2019, the Municipality of Zwolle asked for the building to be given a suitable new purpose.
We and our team then proposed to establish a Hostel in it. After accepting our plan, we have worked very hard in recent years to transform the old archive into a new 'Archive'! It was important to work as sustainably as possible. We believe that we have succeeded. And on June 1, 2023, we were happy to start our Hostel het Archief.’
